"Kidnapped" Britons Released - PR Stunt Goes Well
A British human rights worker kidnapped in Gaza with her parents has spoken of their ordeal following their release.
Kate Burton, 24, told the BBC they were treated well by their kidnappers during the two-and-a-half days they were held, but that her parents were "tired".
Their captors, a previously unheard of group called the Mujahadeen Brigades, released a video denouncing the UK and threatening to take more hostages.
She spoke of her sadness that her parents had had such a "desperate experience" during their visit to Gaza, but said she hoped to continue her human rights work there.
She added that she could not say a bad word about her captors, who always asked whether they needed anything.
The UK Foreign Office, who had a team of diplomats in Gaza, said it was pleased to confirm Kate, Hugh and Win (Helen) Burton had been freed and were "well and in good spirits".
The previously unknown group made a list of demands and urged Britain to put pressure on Israel.
They said if their demands were not met they would capture international observers in the forthcoming elections.
Was this a kidnapping? Or was this a good way to get the media to focus on the demands of Gazas Islamic terrorists, while trying to portray them in as good a light as possible?
I know what some of you are thinking, crazy conspiracies etc... So where are the kidnappers? Obviously they would have tracked them or arrested them as Ms Burton and her family were released?

Interpal Supports And Funds Terrorism
The Jewish Board Of Deputies has short-sightedly apologised and come to an out of court settlement in a libel action case that was brought about by the Islamic-terrorism fundraising front, 'Interpal', for calling Interpal what it is, a terrorist organisation :
Britain's top Jewish body has apologised for branding a Muslim charity a "terrorist organisation".Below is an extract from Dhimmi Watch (where I found the article) and a summary of Interpal's terrorism connections :
In an out-of-court settlement, the Board of Deputies of British Jews said it should not have described Interpal in these terms.
The board has now published a retraction and apology on its website.
In the statement, the Board said it had reached a settlement with Interpal in relation to a September 2003 article on its website which referred to "terrorist organisations such as Hamas and Interpal".
"We would like to make it clear that we should not have described Interpal in this way and we regret the upset and distress our item caused," said the statement.
Interpal is one of the largest Muslim-led charities in Europe and says its funds humanitarian, educational and medical projects in the Palestinian territories.
The row with the Board of Deputies began after the US Treasury Department accused Interpal of being part of the European "funding network" for Hamas, the largest militant Islamist organisation in the Palestinian territories involved in suicide bombings.
Hmmm..alright, so the Treasury Department at least thinks Interpal is a money front for Hamas (see their press release). And just last month, the UK Independent reported that Israeli prosecutors had provided documents showing that millions of Euros had been funnelled through Interpal to the families of Palestinian suicide bombers, including the family of the bomber who killed 15 Israelis inside a Sbarro pizza shop in 2001.I'm not going to comment too much on this, but let me clear one thing up. On the Jewish Board of Deputies website they claim that they are "The Voice Of British Jewry ". Well, I can say, as an Englishman of Jewish faith, that the 'Jewish Board of Deputies' does sure as hell not speak for me, or any other British Jews that I know and their wimping out in this court case sure as hell doesn't stop Interpal being used as front for the collection of funds for Islamic terror organisations.
There's more. In 2000, American and German investigators arrested Sheikh Mohammad Ali Hassan al Moayad, a Hamas fundraiser who spent his spare time sending cash and arms to Al-Qaeda. During the investigation, Sheikh Moayad showed receipts for tens of thousands of dollars made out to Interpal to a FBI informer, so as to prove that he could "get money to the jihad." Additionally, Saudi organizations such as the International Islamic Relief Organziation and the World Assembly of Muslim Youth also funnelled millions of dollars through Interpal, destined for unknown Palestinian coffers. Whats more, Interpal founder Ibrahim Hewitt, once admitted that Interpal money could have "possibly" made its way to Hamas, but not to its "military wing."
It seems, considering all the available evidence indicating Interpal's perfidy, that the BDBJ's apology is more of an attempt to avoid Interpal's charges of libel than a realistic assessment of the group's obvious terroristic intentions. Chalk up another victory for lawsuit-happy terrorist organizations.

"Palestinian" Terrorists Kidnap 3 Britons
Unidentified gunmen kidnapped three foreigners in the southern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, residents said. Why does the media brush off every Islamo-terror tactic as merely a cry for help, or more specifically in this case, a cry for a job. Maybe it's just me but I don't know anyone who got bored looking for employment and decided to carry out a spate of kidnappings instead.
A Palestinian police source said those abducted in the town of Rafah were believed to be Britons, including a woman who worked with a local human-rights group. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
Palestinian police said the kidnappers' car was spotted heading north, and that a pursuit was under way.
A representative of an EU force monitoring the Rafah border crossing to Egypt said he was unaware of the incident.
The incident was the latest in a series of abductions in Gaza that has undermined Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas' attempts to establish order in the coastal strip following Israel's withdrawal this summer.
Recent kidnappings of foreigners in Gaza have ended without bloodshed and with the hostages being released unharmed.
In most cases, the kidnappers were seeking jobs in the Palestinian security forces, the release of imprisoned relatives or other personal matters. Abbas' critics have accused him of giving in to kidnappers' demands, thereby encouraging more abductions.
Frank McGinley, a duty officer with the British consulate general in Jerusalem, said his country was investigating the report but had no further comment.

Text Vote Talent Shows, A Crime Against Islam
SAUDI mobile operator Mobily has stopped users from text- message voting for an Arab Fame Academy-style competition because of an Islamic decree branding the reality show immoral, the company said yesterday.
Saudi religious scholars last May condemned the hugely popular talent show, which was broadcast by Lebanese channel LBC, as a crime against Islam. "The decision was taken last night because of a fatwa (religious decree) issued last year, since the programme is culturally inappropriate," company spokesman Humoud Alghodaini said.
"It shows men and women living in one house, sometimes semi-naked and in inappropriate situations," he added.

Breaking News - Nearly 80 Fall Ill After Poison Gas Attacks
[Poison Gas Canisters were found in four Maksidom shops]
Dozens of people have been treated and some of them taken to hospital after an unidentified gas was released in a shop in the Russian city of St Petersburg. The emergency situations ministry said the incident happened in an outlet of the Maksidom chain.
Gas capsules with timers were found in three other Maksidom shops in the northern city, officials said.
Security officials said the incidents were most likely caused by criminals, rather than terrorists.
"The security services are inclined to be believe this to be an act of hooliganism because so far there is no information that this could be a terrorist act," a spokesman for the Federal Security Service said.
Criminal attacks on businesses are common in Russia. Twenty people died in an arson attack on a shop in the northern city of Ukhta in July.
A police spokesman told AP news agency that the Maksidom chain, which sells furnishings and hardware, had received letters threatening to disrupt sales during the holiday period.
Officials said 78 people sought medical care as a result of the gas, 66 of whom were taken to hospital. More than 50 were released soon afterwards.
No serious cases have been reported.
Victims of the attack reported an unusual, garlicky smell.
Preliminary reports said the substance used was methyl mercaptan, a compound of carbon, hydrogen and sulphur.
The substance is added to natural gas to give it its odour and is poisonous in large quantities.
Sheik Omran : 'Howard Government Radicalising Young Muslims'
So to avoid further confusion, Sheik Omran, the same Sheik Omran that distributed leaflets around the Muslim community that stated 9/11 was an American conspiracy to demonise Islam, tells us what he thinks are the "root causes" of the problem :
FIREBRAND Muslim cleric Mohammad Omran has blamed the Howard Government for radicalising young Muslims, claiming that demonising Islam was driving its followers towards a terrorist mentality.
"The Government is pushing the people to believe they can do all these major disaster things," Sheik Omran told The Australian in his first major interview since 18 men, including a number of his followers, were arrested last month in Sydney and Melbourne, accused of plotting acts of terrorism.
The defiant imam, regarded as one of the most radical senior clerics in Australia, lashed out at critics who linked his teachings to alleged homegrown terror cells, insisting: "This is a public place, anyone can come to pray."
He likened the case to that of executed Australian drug trafficker Nguyen Tuong Van. "He's linked to a church, what does the church have to do with that? Would you say the priest is a drug dealer?"
Sheik Omran, who has repeatedly come under fire from other clerics and John Howard for espousing extreme views, including denying that Muslims were to blame for the September 11 attacks on the US or the London bombings earlier this year, defended his approach.
"When I say the Muslims didn't do it, then I am taking the terrorists out of the Muslims. I say we don't do that, and you say you do that. So which one makes us terrorist?"
Sheik Omran said the Howard Government's focus on terrorism was making the "naive" Australian public paranoid about Muslims and the likelihood of a terrorist attack in Australia.
"The problem here is our people. When I say our people, I say Australians in general, my beautiful people, they are so naive about the threat of terrorism because they have never had to deal with any great disasters on home soil," he said.
In his Michael Street prayer centre in Melbourne's inner north, Sheik Omran said he was no more radical than the 13 other Melbourne imams, but unlike them, he was not afraid to openly express his opposition to the war on Iraq and his support for jihadists who were fighting the coalition forces in the country.
The head of the Melbourne-based Ahl Sunnah Wal Jamaah Association said terror attacks around the world, including September 11 and the London bombings, were predominantly Western conspiracies concocted to sully the image of Islam.
He said he wanted to "wake people up to the fact" that Osama bin Laden's involvement in September 11 "is not true" and in so doing attempt to turn them away from terrorism.
People were more inclined to turn to terrorism when they were convinced they had the capacity to do so, and less inclined to turn to such extreme acts when told they did not have what it took.
"When I say this wasn't a bin Laden job and bin Laden can't do that and he doesn't have the ability to do that ... which one is encouraging terrorist action -- the one saying you have the ability, or the one who says you don't have the ability?" Sheik Omran said.
He said his opinions on global terrorism, and especially bin Laden, were largely shaped by his research on the internet and in print. "I am a man of common sense -- I am not an idiot who hears what people say and take it and go. I don't talk from nonsense ... I study and I put so much effort (in) before I talk."

Norwegian Regional Parliament Rules To Boycott Israel
Norway: Parliament shuns Israeli products
A regional parliament has ruled to boycott Israeli products in protest of 'Israel's oppression of Palestinians'; ADL condemns ruling, says 'decision only serves to exacerbate tensions and ill-will'
The Norwegian parliament in the Sor-Trondelag region ruled Saturday to boycott products made in Israel and to forbid the sale and purchase of Israeli goods.
It is estimated that the decision, determined by a parliamentary vote, was made due to Norway's stance that Israel oppresses the Palestinians.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) strongly condemned the ruling Wednesday, saying that "this decision does nothing to promote Israeli-Palestinian reconciliation, but only serves to exacerbate tensions and ill-will."
"It is shocking and ironic that this one-sided boycott effort comes at a time when Israel is making a series of dramatic steps toward peace, including the recent withdrawal from Gaza," ADL Director Abraham Foxman said in a press release following the incident.
In a letter to Norwegian Ambassador to the U.S. Knut Vollebaek, the ADL expressed concern over the bias stance taken by the regional parliament in regard to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
"Boycotts against Israel are predicated on odious comparisons to apartheid-era South Africa," the letter said. "It is our sincere hope that the Norwegian government will condemn this unjust decision and take necessary measures to secure its reversal."

"Palestinian" Toddler Talks Of Her Hatred For "The Jews" [video] - extract :
Interviewer: Why did they do that to Muhammad Al-Dura?
Toddler: Because they are Jews, villains, dogs. You see? That's why. They shouldn't do that, because it's called killing. They shouldn't do this. We are not their friends. They shouldn't do this. We are Palestinians, and they are Jews. They should not shoot people.
Interviewer: Is it possible that we will reconcile with them one day, and there will be peace between us?
Interviewer: Don't we want peace with them?
Toddler: We don't want anything. We don't want anyone, not the Jews... We want to live in security, see? We don't want Jews, thieves, or villains.
Blood Libel On Iranian TV [video] - extract :
In 1883, about 150 French children were murdered in a horrible way in the suburbs of Paris, before the Jewish Passover holiday. Later research showed that the Jews had killed them and taken their blood. This event caused riots in Paris back then, and the French government found itself under pressure.
A similar incident took place in London, when many English children were killed by Jewish rabbis.
Christians Suffer Under Muslim Controlled Areas Of Israel
The parts of Israel controlled by Arab Muslims aren't just virulently anti-Jew. It's also a dangerous existence for Christians in this part of the world. In the land where Christ began his ministry, his flock have become numbered and live in fear.
You see, Islam is an equal opportunity ideology of intolerance and violent retribution against any doctrine that doesn't acknowledge its supremacy, and it's not about race. Arab Christians are persecuted, humiliated, and killed all across the Middle East by their Muslim brethren.
Iranian Supreme Ayatollah Says The Islamic World Will Win The Nuclear War Against The Jewish State
Supreme Iranian ruler Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani said last Friday that the Muslim world would win a nuclear exchange with Israel, aggravating fears Tehran's quest for atomic weapons indeed has one purpose: the annihilation of what it calls the Zionist "cancer".
Ahmadinejad terms Iran as global front-runner of 'REAL ISLAM'
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday termed Iran as the global front-runner of 'real Islam', the news agency ISNA reported.
'Islam is the only mean for salvation of mankind with the Iranian nation as global front-runner and flag-holder of the real Islam,' Ahmadinjead said in his first-ever meeting as president with students in Teheran.

WH Smith Still Promoting Anti-Jewish Publications
The website of one of Britain's leading book retailers was this week still selling some of the worst anti-semitic books in print more almost a month after it promised to remove them. And let's not ignore the numerous editions of Hitler's "Mein Kampf" that also appear for sale on the site, in eight different versions :
High street giant WH Smith was told by the Jewish News three weeks ago that it was offering customers such classic hate tracts as The Protocols of the Elders of Zion and Henry Ford’s The International Jew.
A spokesman claimed the books had been removed from the site. But this week two versions of the Protocols and several volumes of The International Jew were still available.
The Jewish News this week also provided WH Smith with a list of more than 15 anti-semitic books, including Did Six Million Really Die? and Tales of the Holohaux, which are currently for sale on the site.
A spokesman said yesterday: "WH Smith has committed to removing the titles that were brought to our attention several weeks ago and are currently investigating how they reappeared on the site. We will also look into the extended list of titles you have presented to us today."
Update - If you want to complain to Smiths, check out their submission form [no, not that type of submission] and make yourself heard

Lebanese Muslim Student - We Should Burn The Jews Like Hitler Did
Click The Picture (or here) To See The Video
On a lighter note, US intelligence has finally (after four years) started to look at the "root causes" of the terrorist threat the US faces. That's right, the pentagon will finally try and discover if Islam is the force behind the Islamic terror threat that the American people face. The answer sounds obvious I know, but I guess it needs the official stamp.
Transcript :Following are excerpts from a symposium of students at Universite Libanaise, hosted by Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV, and broadcast on November 29, 2005.
Mediator: The Arab regimes have all accepted the establishing of a Palestinian state on the territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. In other words, the 1967 borders only. They believe that the reality and the balance of power do not allow more than that at this stage. Do you support this "realism," or do you adhere to what has come to be known as the historical, original Palestine? Let us... Let us... Go ahead.
Student 1: My name is Hisham Sham'as, and I study political science. I just want to say everyone is talking about...
Mediator: Please address the question.
Hisham Sham'as: The state shouldn't be only within the 1976 borders... Or rather, 1967... Israel must be wiped out.
Mediator: You mean, reviving the motto of erasing Israel from the map.
Hisham Sham'as: Israel should be completely wiped out, so the Palestinians will have a country to return to.
Mediator: If someone tells you this motto is unrealistic, how would you respond?
Hisham Sham'as: There is no such thing as unrealistic. Just as Israel... Just like Hitler fought the Jews – We are a great Islamic nation of Jihad, and we too should fight the Jews and burn them.
Student 2: Avian flu hit the entire world, and they are trying to find a cure for it now. As for Israel – the only cure for it is to wipe it off the map.
Mediator: What's your name?
Student 3: Mahmoud Fakhri. I hope what I have to say is not too inciting.
Mediator: Go ahead and incite. This is what we're looking for. We want some action.
Mahmoud Fakhri: In all honesty, the Arab people should overturn the disappointing regimes.
Mediator: Now you are really inciting...
Mahmoud Fakhri: In all honesty, any disappointing government that wants to normalize relations with the Zionist enemy and to sell out the Arab cause, and especially Jerusalem – the people must topple this regime and have its say.
One of the main factors being discussed is whether Islam IS radical, or whether there is a new version of Islam (not true to the roots) that has become radicalised.
Well, maybe I can help clear this up. Do a search for 'Islam Is Uncorrupted' and see the results. If you can't be bothered to search, you will find that Muslims do believe the Quran is uncorrupted and in it's original form. Every Muslim I have ever know claims that Islam IS the uncorrupted ramblings of Allah the Arabic moon deity.
Now what I'd like to know is what version of Islam is there that has been "corrupted"? You know what I mean, when non-Muslim reporters and politicians talk about this "corrupt" radical version of Islam, what are they talking about?
Is there a Quran that none of us have seen? A corrupted version that Muslims themselves deny the existence of? Maybe they've been hidden inside normal looking Qurans and that's why we keep finding all the references to Jihad and killing the non-believers. But I highly doubt it. I mean, if this was the case, then where is the peaceful version of the Quran?
Well maybe, just maybe, the US policy makers can come to the obvious conclusion, take the lead in anti-Dhimmitude and tell the world once and for all that there is no "corrupt" version of the Quran that only the radicals have access to and that it is the Quran that all Muslims use that contains the extremism, hatred, "Jihad" and world domination ideology.
Sir Winston Churchill once described the Quran as "the 'Mein Kampf' of war. Maybe he was ahead of his time when it came to resisting dhimmitude, but I like to think that he knew that appeasement would eventually bring about the Jihad that is being waged in "Dar al Harb" as we speak. Especially when I think of this great Churchill quote :
"An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last"
Will America's leaders finally stop feeding the Crocodile and wake up to the threat that all of western civilisation faces? Or will it be another four years of the 'Religion of Peace' line?

Ahmadinejad - Palestinian Issue Is Not About A Certain Geographical Region, It Is About Victory Of Islam
--"The Palestinian movement does not belong to a certain geographical region, rather, it is a movement that will define the future fate of Islam on behalf of Muslim Umma and this is the very reason why Islam's enemies are so sensitive toward the Palestinian issue" said President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with leader of Palestinian movement, Hamas in Tehran.I think it might be worth adding that it is unlikely Ahmadinejad used the word 'G-d', rather he would have used the word Allah. This is an important distinction. Why you may ask? Because the Islamic deity [Allah] calls for the extermination of Jews, whereas in Christianity and Judaism, G-d says to love the Jews. Thus Allah and G-d are not the same.
The president saying that the issue of Palestine is the issue of the entire Muslim Ummah stressed that it was the duty of all Muslims to be at the service of the Palestinians' cause.
"Victory comes from God and the secret for gaining victory over enemies is trusting in God and maintaining earnestness," he added.

Al Qaeda Claims Responsibility For July 7th London Suicide Attacks
One of the most commonly asked questions I hear is which organisation carried out the attack? Not only the July 7th attacks but the attempted bombings two weeks later on July the 21st that (thankfully) failed. Failed not due to police apprehension but due to the bombs not detonating properly.
So to answer some questions is not an MP or a government spokesman, he is the deputy head of Al Qaeda. Oh and he says that his terrorist organisation carried out the attacks :

Al Qaeda Issued Threat Days Before UK Oil Explosions
Extract from the video :
Four days later explosions ripped through an oil storage facility in Hemel Hempstead, England :
"I call upon the mujahideen to focus their attacks on the stolen oil of the Muslims. Most of its revenue goes to the enemies of Islam, and most of what they leave is plundered by the thieves who rule our countries. This is the greatest theft in the history of humanity. The enemies of Islam are consuming this vital resource with unparalleled greed. We must stop this theft any way we can, in order to save this resource for the sake of the Muslim nation."
Fire crews are to begin fighting one of Europe's biggest peace time blazes on Monday after a wave of explosions ripped through a fuel depot.
Police said it was too early to say what caused the explosions, which injured 43 people, one seriously, although they said it appeared to be an accident.
The blasts, reportedly heard up to 100 miles (160 km) away, initially raised fears of a possible repeat of the deadly wave of suicide bombings in London in July.

Officer Arrested After Chinese Protest Massacre
The authorities in China have arrested a police commander who ordered officers to open fire during a disturbance, killing protesters, media reports say.
The arrest comes after officials broke several days' silence to say that three villagers were shot dead in the protest, in Guangdong province.
Local residents have alleged that up to 20 people were killed.
Protests against corruption, pollution and land seizures have become increasingly common in rural China.
Police in riot gear were seen patrolling the village on Sunday, and residents said they feared arrest.
Officials quoted by the state news agency said more than 300 people took part in Tuesday's protest in the village of Dongzhou.
At the urging of a few "instigators", the demonstrators reportedly attacked the police with petrol bombs, knives and dynamite.
"It became dark when the chaotic mob began to throw explosives at the police," the report said. "Police were forced to open fire in alarm."
Three people died instantly in the police firing and five others were wounded, according to Xinhua.
But villagers say only fireworks, not explosives, were thrown at police.
Witnesses at the time told US broadcaster Radio Free Asia the incident happened after hundreds of police tried to disperse up to 1,000 demonstrators near Shanwei.
Protesters were apparently angry because they had not been compensated for land taken by the government to build a power plant.
The village has since been sealed off by security personnel.
One of the most prominent rural demonstrations, earlier this year, took place in the village of Taishi, also in Guangdong province.
Villagers accused Taishi's chief of embezzling public funds in a deal involving the sale of a large tract of village land.
The stand-off between locals and security forces lasted several weeks.

Egyptian Sociologist : Arab Regimes Using Israel As Pretext, Grateful To US For Promoting Reform
Following are excerpts from an interview with Egyptian Sociologist Sa'd Al-Din Ibrahim, which was broadcast on Al-Arabiya TV on October 20, 2005
Reporter: Dr. Sa'ad Al-Din, you were talking about the midwife role of George Bush. Does this mean that we should thank George Bush and the US for their role?
Sa'd Al-Din Ibrahim: I'm grateful to whoever helps the region in moving towards democracy, and I have no inhibitions about thanking Europe, America, India, or countries where people ride on elephants. Any help we get in implementing reform - we must be grateful to those who provide it, appreciate it, and stop talking about conspiracies, or fearing anything foreign or coming from abroad.
We have suffered for a long time, and tyrannical rulers are the only ones who benefit from this fear. Thanks should be given where thanks are due.
Like my brother Abd Al-Khaleq just said, the have been struggling for democracy for years and decades. If America comes at the eleventh hour and supports these demands – it is most welcome.
Our leaders have dealings with America on a daily basis, and they import everything from there, yet they do not hesitate to use the American bogeyman when it comes to reform.
Israel was established in 1948. Then, the average income in Palestine was lower than in Egypt, for example. Today, 55 years after the establishment of Israel, the average income in Israel is 15 times higher than in Egypt.
Israel fought all same wars as the Arabs and Egyptians. How come it continued to progress to the point it has become a technological force to be reckoned with? The reason is that it's a democracy.
It saddens me and breaks my heart to say this. Countries like India, Malaysia, and many others have suffered horrors, wars and famine, and emerged from a situation that was much worse than that of us Arabs, after World War II.
The Arab leaders and tyrannical regimes have used Israel as a pretext. True, Israel has exhausted many Arab resources, but nevertheless, I say that the regimes have exhausted the resources of their own countries, have smuggled and stolen more than the war against Israel has cost us.

ROP Watch, Churches And Bibles Torched In Pakistan
LAST MONTH the longstanding tensions between Christians and Muslims in the Punjab erupted yet again into violence. The small rural community of Sangla Hills witnessed the burning of churches and Bibles and the terrorising of the (mostly Catholic) Christian population. The village’s name is on everyone’s lips in Pakistan.Below is an extract from an article when the attacks were first reported :
In itself the violence was not as bad as some other incidents in recent years, when there have been savage killings — though it was probably only a matter of chance (or providence?) that things did not get further out of hand. What has made it exceptional is not the level of brutality but the significance it has acquired at a sensitive moment in Pakistan’s history.
First, it has focused attention sharply on Pakistan’s controversial blasphemy laws. Although these were not invoked on this occasion, the incident that sparked the violence was just the kind of allegation that has regularly triggered appeals to these laws in recent years. A private quarrel — at Sangla Hills there was a dispute over gambling debts — leads to the accusation that the Christian involved has defaced or destroyed a copy of the Koran. This is enough to lead to an arrest and a long confinement awaiting trial. No case has been upheld in the courts in recent years but the fact that an accusation leads to effective imprisonment and prospect of lynching on release means that the actual legal proceedings are the least of the accused’s problems.
In yet another incident of religious intolerance, a mob of about 1500 people, torched three churches in Eastern Pakistan, spurred by reports of alleged desecration of Holy Quraan by a local Christian.
Shahbaz Bhatti, head of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance, denied the charges and condemned the attacks.
According to Catholic Archbishop, Lawrence Saldanaha, a Sisters' Convent, St Mary's School building and a Pastor's house were destroyed besides two churches (Catholic and Presbyterian) at Sangla Hills. But a local resident Simon Sahotra said that another Protestant Church at Tariqabad (Machar Colony) was also set on fire on Saturday.
These attacks came a day after Yusuf Maseeh allegedly burnt a one-room Madrassa along with copies of the Holy Quraan, police officials were reported as saying. Police quoted some eye witnesses as saying that people who had lost money while gambling with Maseeh had leveled the allegations against him.
Parliament member Akram Gill also said a Muslim cobbler and a Muslim goldsmith lost money to Yusuf while gambling but they refused to pay the money leading to tension and rumors.
Shahbaz Bhatti denied the charges of desecration and said, "No Christian burned copies of the Quraan. No Christian even can think of doing it. We have maximum regard and respect for the Quran and Prophet Muhammad."
Bhatti accused local Muslim leaders of using mosque public-address systems to urge Muslims to attack the churches.
Catholic Church body, National Commission of Justice and Peace (NCJP) officials, they had alerted the local and district police about tension that was building up on Friday itself but their appeals were met with silence.
Observing that blasphemy laws have been a main source and tool for creating social, sectarian and inter-religious disharmony in the country, the NCJP demanded that it was Federal government's negligence that was resulting in such injustice.
(from the same article) Qadiani sentenced
A Pakistan court sentenced an Ahmadiyya (locally called Qadiani) to life imprisonment on the charge of burning the Holy Quran. Hafizabad Additional District and Sessions Judge Qaisar Nazeer Butt announced the judgment of the case, in which two other Qadianis were acquitted.
The Jihad Plumber
A plumber arrested near the M25 last week has been charged with five offences relating to alleged terrorist activities and firearms offences, police said. The Mirror.co.uk reports that the man was attempting to get hold of a large amount of explosives, missiles and assault rifles :
Kazi Nurur Rahman, 28, of Newham, east London, is alleged to have had in his possession three Uzi sub-machine guns and 3,000 rounds of ammunition.
Rahman was arrested by armed officers near the M25 South Mimms service station in Hertfordshire last Tuesday. Scotland Yard said the 28-year-old, who is a British citizen, was charged following an investigation by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Anti-Terrorist Branch.
A SUSPECTED terrorist was arrested yesterday as he tried to buy a missile to shoot down a holiday jet.Now this may be pure coincidence, but a few months ago a man who goes by the same name was arrested boarding a British Airways flight from Bangladesh, on suspicion of being a terrorist :
The Asian-born man, 28, was also thought to be seeking explosives for a Christmas bomb blitz in London. He was held at gunpoint by police and MI5 agents near the M25 in Hertfordshire. A source at Scotland Yard said: "We think he was buying the missile in a bid to bring down a trans-Atlantic airliner on landing or departure at a major British airport.
"We believe the man was also in negotiations to purchase a large quantity of explosives and guns in preparation for a bomb blitz and terrorist shootings in London.
"We believe the planned attacks were to be carried out by Islamic fundamentalists following the ideals of the al-Qaeda movement."
The man, from East London, was held by Scotland Yard's Anti-Terrorist Branch and MI5 as he got out of his car close to the South Mimms services, on the M25 north of London.
Police believe he went to the spot to meet others with whom he had allegedly been attempting to negotiate to buy a surface-to-air missile, a stock of high explosives, detonators and army-issue assault rifles.
After being held under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, the man was driven in an unmarked police car to the maximum-security Paddington Green police station in West London. No explosives were found in the man's car but teams of detectives later searched two houses in Plaistow and Walthamstow, both in East London.
A spokesman at Scotland Yard, which has been investigating a plot for three months, said: "At about 11.30 a.m. armed police challenged a man who was leaving a parked car on a minor road near the M25 services at South Mimms.
"The man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing inquiry into the attempted procurement of weapons linked to international terrorism.
"Search warrants have also been executed. No explosives or hazardous materials have been found."

Ex Terrorists Confess On Saudi State TV, Islamic Preachers Causing Islamic Terrorism
An even better question is why this video got next to no publicity in the western media where they so love to hear about the "root causes" of terrorism. (click the picture for the video, via memrtv.org)
Saudi Al-Qaeda Terrorists Recount Their Experiences in Afghanistan
Following are excerpts from interviews with Saudi Al-Qaeda terrorists, which were aired on channel1 of the Saudi TV and other channels on November 29, 2005:
Abdallah Khoja Former Al-Qaeda Member: The Emir of the Uzbek mujahideen in Afghanistan came to Taif, where I worked. I wanted to meet with Taher Khan, so I found him and talked to him about my strong desire to go to Afghanistan or to any region where there is fighting for the sake of Allah, under a clear banner. He said that, Allah willing, he would take me with him. He said: "You may not be able to bear it, since you all live a carefree life of luxury here." I said to him: "No, Allah willing, I will endure it."
Ziyad Ibrahim 'Asfan Former Al-Qaeda Member: I returned to Afghanistan by myself, and I joined the training camps. At first, I joined a camp called the Al-Sadiq camp. The course was very simple, it lasted two or three weeks, and involved training in small arms. Of course, you are all familiar with songs of enthusiasm bravery that always deal with... the conspiracies of the Jews and Christians, against the Muslim countries, and especially our main cause – which is Palestine.
Abdallah Khoja Former Al-Qaeda Member: We crossed the border, and entered. We simply crossed the border on foot. We wore full Afghan garb. Of course, we had to disguise ourselves a little, so nobody would notice that you were Arab or that you came from an Arab country. I asked to go to a training camp. I asked what the next stage was. I was told I had to go to a training camp, and to undergo training, to be patient, and not to ask too many questions. I went there, and had training in small arms. I went in, and met a group of men, Arabs and non-Arabs, Daghestanis, French, British, German, American, all Muslim mujahideen. I liked them. and sat with them. There were Pakistanis, Africans, Indonesians, from all over the world.
Once a Yemenite said to me: "Allah willing, we will enter Riyadh as conquerors." I resented this. I asked him: "Why should you enter as conquerors? Our people are there, our brothers and sisters are there." He said to me: "You don't understand." There was one Algerian who used to talk with contempt. I was hurt by him. It was the first time I had heard such things. I was shocked, I was angry, I was mad – what kind of talk is this? I went to talk with the Emir of the training camp, who was Eritrean. He said: "Don't mix with them, leave them alone. We've had trouble with them too."
This was the Khaldan camp of Abdallah Azzam. In that camp there was a group of Egyptians, Algerians, Tunisians, Libyans, Moroccans, Saudis, Yemenites, Daghestanis, Chechens, Dutch... Abu Talha the Dutchman, was there, and so was Abu Khaled the Frenchman, who was black. He talked in classical Arabic. We had disagreements. They used to say bad things about the clerics and sheiks.
Walid Khan Former Al-Qaeda Member: The problem was they didn't care about anyone but their sheik, Al-Maqdisi. They pledged allegiance to Al-Maqdisi and were in jail for 5 years. They were sentenced to 15 years. they belonged to the Jordanian Bay'at Al-Imam organized from 1995. They served 5 years and then were pardoned. So they went to Afghanistan. Their ideology further developed there. Of course, they accused the government, the army, and the police of heresy. This is the most dangerous group. I understood that they had differences of opinion with Bin Laden on a number of issues and position. Of course, we understood that only later.
From the day Al-Zarqawi's group arrived there were (disagreements). Some of their leaders were in complete opposition. But they needed money. At one point, there were only 10,000 Kalashnikov bullets on the entire front. The only thing they wanted was money. Whoever supports them now will control them, and will impose his positions: "You want money? I will give you money, on condition that you do such-and-such for me." They'll agree to it whether they like it or not. At that moment, Al-Zarqawi arrived. He saw that their situation was very difficult. They had no money and were thinking of reaching a truce with the Taliban. He said: "No way." He got mad and left. They said: "Why are you mad?", and so they had problems with him. So he sent them one of his men, Abu Muhammad, to see what their condition was. He stayed with them five months, and then wrote a report, saying the only thing they needed was money. He gave them some 500,000 dollars, which breathed new life into them. Now these people are grateful to Al-Zarqawi, next to Allah, because he saved them. That's it, now he controls them. If you want to control any Jihad front in the world, you should finance it.
Abdallah Khoja:The guys were scared. If I saw a guy I trusted, I wouldn't ask him where he was from, where he knew so-and-so. The guys are careful, and are afraid. You shouldn't ask too many questions. The guys told me not to ask too many questions. When asked, you have to answer. They tell you, that's so-and-so, and that's such-an-such, and shouldn't ask them if they are from Najd, the Eastern Province, from Yemen, Iraq, India, or China. Keep it to yourself, because the guys are afraid that you might be intelligence. So you have to keep to yourself, so that the guys don't hate you.
Channel 1, Saudi TV:
Ibrahim Ziyad 'Asfan: They told us that Islam will only be well with the collapse of this infidel, hypocritical, apostate country, which shields the Jews and Christians, and the Jews hide behind it... They kept repeating these things all the time - that Allah had shown us that many Muslim and Arab countries are infidel, but that this (Saudi Arabia) of all countries, alone among all these countries, is a great evil, and is more evil and more dangerous than the rest.
Walid Khan:Take, for example, the Council of Senior Religious Scholars and the Mufti. Everybody, or maybe three-quarters of the men, or 90 percent of the men I met in the Jihad – do not follow the Mufti or the Council of Senior Religious Scholars.
I said that Abu Bakr Al-Jazairi is a sheik and an (important) cleric in Al-Madina. They said to me: "He's a cleric who works only with air-conditioning. His Muslim nation is not his top priority. He has a salary in his pocket. He issues religious rulings from an air-conditioned room." I was in shock. These were strange things, which I was hearing for the first time. How can you say such things about Sheiks Ibn Al-'Aithmein and Ibn Baz, who are great scholars and the imams of the nation. He said: "They are not fighting the Jihad with us."
Ibrahim Ziyad 'Asfan: They would constantly give us examples and say: "Look at those Arab and Muslim countries – how they are preparing themselves, and building all these armies and how the soldiers in these armies are all enduring difficulties for the sake of the sultans' thrones."
They kept telling us we must endure difficulties. I kept hearing these things while we were climbing mountains, and walking through wadis... I kept hearing we must be patient and determined, and have the proper intent, because with this intent we will build an Islamic army that, Allah willing, will proceed from Kabul to Palestine and Al-Aqsa.

Update - Yahoo And AP Steal The Lead In Biased And Distorted Reporting
There's no point complaining anymore as it always falls on deaf ears. Maybe it's time I start a blog devoted solely to logging biased media reports.
*Update*, it looks like distortion fever has spread to the Scotsman :

5 Israeli Civilians Killed In Islamic Terror Attack
A scene of carnage following an Islamic suicide attack against Israeli civilians (05/12/2005)
Five people were killed and 66 were wounded - three seriously - in an explosion that rocked the entrance to the Hasharon shopping mall on Herzl Street in Netanya at 11:25 a.m. Monday morning. Four died at the scene, and another person died on the operating table at Laniado Hospital in Netanya.
Four of the five victims were identified on Monday evening.
Alexandra Zrnitzki, 65, of Netanya was killed, along with the security guard who was tried to stop the bomber, Ayala Rosen, 38, of Beit Hefer. Nahariya resident Daniel Golani, 45, died, as did Haim Amram, 26, a Netanya resident.
The name of the fifth victim was yet to be released.
The Islamic Jihad took responsibility for the attack in a phone call to Palestinian journalists, identifying the bomber as Lutfi Amin Abu Salem, a resident of the northern West Bank village of Kafr Rai, located between the towns of Jenin and Tulkarm.
It's obvious that the Palestinian Authority is showing no intention to take real steps to dismantle or disarm the terrorist organizations," Ra'anan Gissin, spokesman for Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, said in response to the bombing. The bombing was "a direct consequence of not taking these steps." He further accused Syria, Iran and Hizbullah of encouraging terrorism in Israel "for the purpose of scuttling the process that seemed to be gaining momentum," but added that this did not absolve the PA of responsibility.
Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom called the attack "additional proof of the inaction of the Palestinian Authority under Abu Mazen. Israel can't stand a continuation of the spilling of blood in the cities and the Kassam attacks." He added, "The leadership of the Palestinian Authority is refusing to act against the terror organizations and to dismantle them."

Iranian Filmmaker : 9/11 Footage Was From Independence Day (the movie), Aliens In [Spielberg's] War Of The Worlds Were Muslim
Click Here To See The Video
Following are excerpts from an interview with Iranian filmmaker Nader Talebzadeh. The Iranian News Channel (IRINN) aired this interview on November 17, 2005
Talebzadeh: After Samuel Huntington's article was published... The American government wanted this article to shape a certain trend. In an interview, Fred Halliday said about Huntington: "I would give Samuel Huntington an F for his article." This article is that superficial. [...]
The most famous symbolic work in this field is Independence Day, which was made prior to the events of 9/11. Imagine: Hollywood makes a film that becomes a blockbuster and the box-office hit of that year. In this film there are aerial attacks on the skyscrapers of Manhattan – the same city where the events of 9/11 took place... The film's escape scene, which takes place in Wall Street, Manhattan, closely resembles the (9/11) footage shown on CNN. Just like... The footage... Even before the event, we were shown footage of it. The famous American director, Robert Altman, said in an interview: "I am sure this 9/11 film was made in advance, and that people saw it in movie theaters before it took place." He was referring to Independence Day.
Before this – 15 or 16 years ago – the film The Man who Saw Tomorrow was made. Orson Wells was the narrator. This film was aired millions of times on TV, and it is still broadcast in many languages. [...] This film is a documentary depicting the end of the world. In this film too, the Twin Towers and the Manhattan skyscrapers are attacked. So that makes twice. Once was 16 years ago... 18... or maybe not... If we say 1980, then it is twenty-something years ago. We were shown this film. Everyone saw the Manhattan skyscrapers being attacked by missiles or flying objects. In this film they had the audacity to say that the attack would be carried out by Muslims – that there would be an attack by apocalyptic Muslims, and that this would be the third anti-Christ. Today, they are afraid to talk this way. They talked like this back then, when many events had not yet occurred.
The War of the Worlds is Spielberg's most recent work. It is also a blockbuster... A box-office hit... This film is also a metaphor. It doesn't explicitly say Islam and Muslims, but the monsters that attack planet Earth are, in fact, Muslims. This is their ideology... They have come from another planet...They are alien... In Independence Day they came from the sky, while in The War of the Worlds they came from beneath the ground. They've always been here among us, but we never saw them. They were beneath the ground and suddenly emerged, and they have extraordinary strength. Link...

Mass Grave Uncovered In Lebanon
[Inspectors Digging At Site Of Mass Grave In Anjar]
The remains of at least 20 bodies have been found in a grave in east Lebanon, near the former headquarters of the Syrian army intelligence, police say.
Excavation teams are continuing work at the grave in the Bekaa Valley and bodies are being taken for DNA testing.
The mass grave is near a former Syrian-run prison, where many Lebanese detainees were held.
Correspondents say dozens of Lebanese disappeared during Syria's 29 years of military presence.
The Syrian army withdrew in April, after Lebanese and international pressure following the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
It is unclear why digging started at the site on a hillside in the town of Anjar, near the Syrian border.
Some reports suggest the bodies were buried about 12 years ago.
Witnesses said one was dressed in a military uniform.
Lebanese detainees on their way to Syrian jails passed through the prison and those who died under torture were buried on the site, the BBC's Kim Ghattas reports from Beirut.
Another 24 bodies were found last month in a mass grave near the Lebanese ministry of defence, east of the capital.
Most of the bodies belonged to Lebanese soldiers who fought against the Syrian army at the end of Lebanon's civil war in 1990.
Syrian troops moved in shortly after the conflict started in 1975.
They pulled out after growing international pressure including a UN Security Council resolution and anti-Syrian street protests, sparked by Mr Hariri's murder in February.
A UN investigation has implicated several Syrian officials, but Syria has denied any involvement in the killing.
Well done for the beeb on reporting this, but it's a disgrace that they can't spend more time on current issues such as the anti-black, anti-infidel genocide in Darfur, which is ongoing as we speak.
Spanish Security Services Uncover Two Jihadist Sleeper Cells
The State Security Forces are on maximum alert. According to today’s El Mundo newspaper, the recent detention of men who are alleged to be linked to Al Qaeda and who were trying to exchange drugs for Goma 2 explosives, could have been related to what the Spanish Secret Service, the CNI, believe are two sleeping Islamist cells based in Logroño and Vitoria.
The security services think the groups could be merely waiting for instructions. The security services have called for a planned Islamic Centre not to be built in La Rioja.

Nothing To Do With Islam Watch - Muslims Behead Israeli Jew
A video from Palestinian Islamic Jihad of a beheaded Israeli is being distributed on the internet. The video shows a crowd of Palestinians in Gaza, including children, shouting "Allahu akhbar!" (God is great) as a terrorist takes the head out of a bag and holds it up for the cheering crowd. Jihadi music plays in the background and the crowd is visibly ecstatic.Minor correction to the article. Allah ackbar actually means Allah is greater/greatest, a way of saying that the Islamic moon deity, namely allah is superior to the Almighty that the Jews and Christians believe in. (listen here for more info on the deceptions of Islam)
Oh and for all the liberals who still claim that this has nothing to do with Islam, see Quran, Sura Al-Anfal [8:12-12] :
Remember thy Lord inspired the angels (with the message): "I am with you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instil terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers: smite ye above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."
